The Silver Lake Chorus, “a symphonious blend of joy-mongering LA Eastsiders who’ve been rocking choral arrangements of indie music since February 2010,” as described on their website, have a pretty impressive debut album in the making, boasting brand new tracks with some big musical names behind the pens.

Ready for it? Here’s a partial list: Beck, Sia, Of Montreal, Aimee Mann, The Bird and the Bee, Tegan and Sara, Zooey Deschanel, Jon Brion, The New Pornographers and Justin Vernon (Bon Iver). Impressed? So are we.

If unfamiliar with the 25-ish-member TSLC, you might recognize their vocal chords from the “MacGruber” theme song as well as Andy Samberg and Akron’s The Lonely Island single, “I Just Had Sex.”

TSLC will self-release their Wreckage EP, produced by Aussie rocker Ben Lee, September 18.
